A compass for life

Yoga was once just an exercise for me but from the first class it cleared my mind from the noise of the outside world and I was hooked immediately. I wanted to investigate this interesting practice of wisdom more and here I am still after more than 10 years — learning from myself, from others and from life generally. I’m grateful to be able to share what I’ve embodied.

As in life always, yin and yang are present in my life and in my yoga practice and teachings. I love the outgoing yang energy in me — it helps to go after my dreams and express myself. I play with my yoga practice and move spontaneously with my breath on the mat. But then there’s the yin side. The more hidden, intuitive part of me that acts as a compass inside me. It shows what’s going on when I pause in silence. It reminds me to slow down so that I can hear better. When my nervous system calms down I have a better ability to be present in life — and to me that’s the place where yoga really happens.

I teach Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa and Aerial yoga and offer the most calming Yoga Nidra practices in Finnish and in English. As a curious citizen of the world I am available and always excited to work also outside Finland for yoga workshops and retreats.
